THE UNPREDICTABLE PATHS OF GEOMETRY
We believe that maths, geometry especially, permeates the world. However, it is difficult for children to see it in their daily life. This itinerary aims to educate the children to the act of observing, to make them discover what surrounds them and then go further, by stimulating their imagination and creativity through an aware use of digital tools. Thus, we propose a number of images that can gradually help the eye to dwell on the geometric figures. The first three images show different perspectives and settings, but they are all about daily life. The last image presents a particular type of geometry that starts from reality and flows into art. Our aim is to make children practice their ability in observation, by linking geometry, daily life, digital resources and art, in order to enhance their creativity and give them proper skills to interpret reality.
