THE FOUR DEGREES OF THE CONFLICT
This project has been inspired by the 1872 painting Madame Stumpf and her daughter by Jean-Baptiste Camille Corot and investigates the topic of the conflict in the parents-children relationship. With reference to this thematic framework, the images presented in this room aim to interpret and represent metaphorically four key phases of the conflict: Anger, Separation, Regret and Reconciliation.
These four images are the result of graphic reworking processes that combine the traditional pictorial art with a more contemporary visual language. The goal is to encourage the visitors to reflect upon these stages and the emotions involved in the conflict between parents and children.
