ĈIRKAŬ LA MONDO - TRAVELLING THE WORLD
In the painting Le Tour du Monde by André Henri Dargelas (1860), there are many relevant elements, such as the euphoria of the children, the chaotic atmosphere of the classroom and the angst of the teacher in this uncontrollable situation. However, one detail stands out. It is the globe at the center of the painting, the only bright element contrasting the surrounding dark environment. Starting from the globe, we have reflected upon the crucial role of the school in helping children develop respect and sensitivity for the other cultures, through the study of foreign population's folklore. Each of the five shots represents a continent of the world and shows its cultural and natural elements that are different and/or similar to those of our country.
